Northwest Hospital Innovation Center Case Study
In the midst of an effort to establish a new innovation center in an academic medical system, the administrative manager is immersed in a power struggle with various actors who see the new center as an opportunity to advance their careers. In trying to understand the motives of the various actors and identify an integrative solution that protects the mission of the innovation center, the manager must find allies and build a decision coalition in an environment where near total control rests with the medical staff.
